About

A Little Bit About Me

Hi, my name is Jane and my philosophy and the core of my counselling belief is each person is the master of their destiny and given the right tools and environment can gain; the strength, confidence and empowerment to bring about the change they are looking for. The service I offer is in a warm, relaxed, safe, non-judgemental and confidential environment.

As a qualified Counsellor, I have worked as a volunteer through this, I have worked with clients who have suffered; loss, trauma, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem and negative thoughts, suicidal thoughts, panic disorders, separation, divorce and relationship issues. I believe given the right environment of feeling safe, relaxed and comfortable and being able to talk to someone in confidence, gives the client the confidence to be open and explore their worries.

I  worked within the care sector for 30 years, and through this, I have worked with people in various settings and with their changing needs. I feel this has given me a greater understanding of how diverse, individual and unique people are. When a person needs change this can be a worrying and stressful time and the difference between having someone to talk to and be listened to, and someone being there to help with their worries/issues can make all the difference.
